Many of the things we fear in life are just stories that we tell ourselves. These stories keep us stuck, stagnant, and maybe worst of all, comfortable. We experience so much pleasure from the things we can predict, the things we know how to handle. Up until the last week or so, I was too fearful to jump into handstand. I didn't know what would happen when I let both feet off the ground simultaneously. My body is stronger than my mind. My mind calculates, analyzes, doubts, competes. My body simply exists, breathes, moves. You can live your whole life with one foot on the ground, or you can jump, with both feet, and trust your Self. Start with baby steps, but when you begin to see what you're capable of, you'll take less and less time to move away from whatever crutch you're currently grasping for--be it a wall, a relationship, or something material. Trust yourself and let it all go.
